M&A TECHNOLOGY TRANSITIONS

Protect the deal value.
Control the technology risk.

Technology can determine whether an acquisition delivers its thesis—or spends years absorbing avoidable cost and disruption. Coolidge Street brings the diligence, strategy, governance, and execution leadership required to move from transaction planning through a stable operating environment.

01

Due diligence & risk discovery

Build a decision-ready view of the technology estate—applications, infrastructure, data, contracts, licenses, vendors, security obligations, operating dependencies, and hidden separation costs.

02

Separation & integration strategy

Define the target state and make the hard choices early: clone, rebuild, replace, consolidate, retire, or temporarily support through a transition services agreement.

03

Day 1 & TSA exit planning

Translate the deal thesis into an executable roadmap with Day 1 requirements, release phasing, business-readiness gates, vendor commitments, cutover criteria, and a disciplined path off transitional services.

04

Execution through stabilization

Orchestrate delivery across workstreams, system integrators, business teams, and counterparties—controlling dependencies, decisions, testing, migration, cutover, hypercare, and operational handoff.

ENTERPRISE-SEPARATION EXPERIENCE

Built for the decisions that shape the entire transition.

TJ has led program governance for a private-equity-backed telecommunications separation operating at exceptional scale and speed. The work required standing up a new IT operating model, coordinating a hybrid clone-and-build strategy, managing a dense counterparty dependency network, and carrying multiple releases through cutover while the business continued to operate.

That experience gives Coolidge Street a practical understanding of what diligence must uncover, how architectural choices affect cost and timing, and where transition plans typically fail between executive intent and technical execution.

AUTOMATION & OPERATIONAL SYSTEMS

Make the work flow
without the friction.

MEET THE FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL CONSULTANT

Experience built inside
complex change.

Thomas “TJ” Robinson is a senior technology program leader with more than a decade of experience guiding high-stakes infrastructure, telecommunications, cloud, workplace technology, and business transformation initiatives. He has led work across complex enterprise environments where success depends on translating technical detail into an executable plan, aligning executives and delivery teams, and keeping vendors accountable through completion.

His defining experience includes leading program governance for a private-equity-backed telecommunications separation exceeding $100 million in technology build and implementation cost. Across an estate of more than 600 applications and related technology assets, TJ helped shape the clone-versus-build strategy, stood up the delivery operating model, governed 1,500+ cross-company dependencies, aligned nine delivery domains, and orchestrated executive reporting and multi-vendor execution through a high-stakes TSA exit.

That experience informs how he approaches M&A work today: begin diligence early, expose the real technology and operating dependencies, connect architectural decisions to cost and timing, and build a transition plan the organization can actually execute. TJ is equally comfortable advising senior leaders and working alongside architects, engineers, business owners, and vendors on the details that determine whether a transition succeeds.

He founded Coolidge Street to give organizations experienced, hands-on leadership without the layers and overhead of a large consulting firm. Clients get direct access to a practical partner who brings structure to ambiguity, communicates clearly, anticipates risk, and stays accountable for moving the work forward.
